The day I didnt come to class

To be honest I did not watch the full documentary of “start Up.com” because I wasn’t present at class during the day it was shown. However, I did watch the final 20-30 minutes of the video. My first impression of it is you can tell its pretty old when the color is all wacky and the phones, they use are obsolete compared to what we use today. Personally, I didn’t enjoy the documentary and find it very boring but on the topic of. bomb it was quite informative. We see how company were trying to join that internet hype train where investors invested in inflated ideas and eventually lead many businesses going bankrupts or being bought out by other bigger corporations. During the final 30 minutes of the film, Tom Herman became a little prick by trying to sue his own company because of personal reason and argument with Kaleil. I just thought it was a childish move because if he was trying to help the company move forward, he should of just step down as Co- CEO, take his paid vacation of 2 months and then come back with a fresh mind to talk about the future of his company and his position. Like even if Tom Herman isn’t the CEO, he still had like 2 million shares of the company where he can sell them for even more money. But at the end, their company went downhill and was bought out by a bigger corporation and now they are back to square one again trying to start up a next inflated idea company.
