The day I didnt come to class

To be honest I did not watch the full documentary of “start Up.com” because I wasn’t present at class during the day it was shown. However, I did watch the final 20-30 minutes of the video. My first impression of it is you can tell its pretty old when the color is all wacky and the phones, they use are obsolete compared to what we use today. Personally, I didn’t enjoy the documentary and find it very boring but on the topic of. bomb it was quite informative. We see how company were trying to join that internet hype train where investors invested in inflated ideas and eventually lead many businesses going bankrupts or being bought out by other bigger corporations. During the final 30 minutes of the film, Tom Herman became a little prick by trying to sue his own company because of personal reason and argument with Kaleil. I just thought it was a childish move because if he was trying to help the company move forward, he should of just step down as Co- CEO, take his paid vacation of 2 mon

The boring speaker

To be honest at first i was excited for our guest speaker since it was talking starting a companies and business. But as it continues I didn't find the guest speaker lecture that helpful and I also kind of feel annoyed mainly because I have a hard time grasping his theme. At first, he was talking about the books he wrote and the history of how he goes into writing books and then he was talking about his radio business in Tacoma. The lecture was bouncing back and forth between history and his business. So at the end I assume it's something about entrepreneurship but at the point his just kind of boasting about his business not really that informative in terms of enlightening us about starting a business and how to get there. In addition, he also talked about his web development career early on in his life. I'm not sure how it relates to the entrepreneurship theme lecture, But I guess it has do something about marketing your product and services via social media and online.
