Journalism lagging behind

In regards to journalism the topic is fairly new to me I'm a person that doesn't read much magazine or news so I had to do a little research on this topic. From what I have seen and experience so far journalism has come a long way especially we are living in the digital age where everything and everyone is connected to the media in some form. Journalism used to be something people take pride for and seek the truth of a certain news or topic. But as technology progress and evolved better and better every day, journalism seems to be lagging behind. In terms of moral and value. For example, journalism used to be a prestigious job for certain individuals where they take time to physically go to a location and seek the news and information. But with smartphones, computers, and the web it made journalism seem less credible because a lot of information can be posted as “fake news” where it makes the public lose faith in some big journalism firms. In addition, mega-corporation controls most of the media and journalism and suppressing what to write and what not to write and basically writing the mass media “one size fits all” type of style trying to appeal the public more than trying to seek what it the truth. At the end journalism is no longer what its used to be it has been suppressed by governments and big companies, people just do it for the paycheck and entertainment and not for the truth.
